The Accepting Heart
with Duncan Gillis
Saturday, March 20, 2010
1:00 - 4:00pm
Our usual response to seemingly difficult people and situations is to
become unhappy and push them away. This tends to make our suffering and problems worse. Instead, Buddha encourages us to practice acceptance, a patient mind that fully welcomes whatever occurs in our life. If we train to develop this open and peaceful heart, nothing can make us unhappy. All problems in our relationships with other will disappear, and all
situations, no matter how difficult, will increase our progress on our
spiritual path.

Attaining Spiritual Realizations
with Kelsang Rabjor
Saturday May 15, 2010
1-4 pm
Many people develop an interest in meditation only to become discouraged when their practice does not seem to yield results.
We all have the potential to develop deep insight into Buddha's teachings but spiritual realizations do not arise magically from the earth, nor do they fall from the sky. Instead, they are dependent upon certain inner conditions that we can bring about through correct methods.
In this special class we will learn how to apply these methods in order to attain lasting spiritual realizations that will bring us the fulfillment we desire.
